Upcoming "Why Psychoanalysis?"
250. E. Hartsdale Avenue 33 Hartsdale, NY 10530
My main interests are: psychoanalysis, and transference focused therapy, as well as combination of these with medication and the medication’s impact on the therapeutic process. More recently I have developed a special interest in psychoanalysis of older adults. I greatly enjoy the privilege of teaching and supervising medical students and psychiatry residents at several institutions and in that context, learning about transmission of psychoanalytic concepts to residents from other cultures. I currently teach Cornell medical students in the Brain and Mind Course, Cornell geriatric residents to Personality Disorders in the Elderly and Sexuality in the old age. I also teach Creemoor residents in adult development, object relations theory and therapy of neurotic personalities. I also teach and supervise TFP to Hungarian psychiatrists and psychologists in Budapest and via Skype. I also have been studying the relation between personality and sexual pathology. I am a APsa certified psychoanalysis sicne 2009 and a Training and Supervising Analysts since 2010.
