Professional Biography 

Dr. Garza is a double-boarded general adult and consultation-liaison psychiatrist at the Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she collaborates with her medical and surgical colleagues in caring for patients with comorbid medical and psychiatric illnesses and supervises medical students, residents, and fellows performing inpatient psychiatric consultations on patients on the medical and surgical floors. In addition, Dr. Garza maintains a small outpatient psychotherapy practice through the Columbia Faculty Practice Organization. She has a particular interest in incorporating psychotherapy and integative techniques such as hypnosis and bright light therapy into her patients' treatment.
