Clinical Theory and Technique

The Columbia Psychoanalytic Center faculty are principal contributors to the development of psychoanalytic theory nationally and internationally. Among our most prolific members are Anrnold Cooper, M.D., Otto Kernberg, M.D., Roy Schaffer, Ph.D., and Daniel Stern, M.D.

We are dedication to advancing the writing careers of our candidates and junior faculty. Lucy Lafarge, M,D., one of our outstanding clinical theoreticians, recently added a course on Writing for Publication in which several faculty members with academic careers encourage teach fifth year candidates how to enter the world of psychoanalytic scholarship.
