Late applications for the academic year beginning in September 2023 are still being accepted.
To apply to the Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Program, please complete the application form linked here.
To apply to the Parent-Infant Psychotherapy Program, please complete the application form linked here.
When preparing to apply, please make sure you have digitial copies of documentation of current licensure and adequate malpractice coverage and a photo to upload. A $50 application fee must accompany the application. Please pay the fee via our secure form using this link. Indicate the specific program to which you are applying in the memo line. This fee is not refundable and is not credited toward tuition. For prompt processing of your application, please forward a copy of any receipt you receive for this application fee to psychoanalysis@cumc.columbia.edu.
In addition, we require a letter of recommendation from the director of your professional training program and two additional letters from two previous psychotherapy supervisors. Please ask each of these references to send a letter supporting your application to the Psychoanalytic Center, psychoanalysis@cumc.columbia.edu.
When your application is complete, you will be interviewed by one of the two directors.
